COVID-19 Message to Patients and Visitors:
To all of our clients and their families, we want to thank you for your understanding as we navigate this challenging situation. Our clinicians are working hard to meet the needs of clients via on-line and telephone sessions. As we work on bringing our services up to meet your needs, please note the following:
We are still taking on new clients, and reactivating former clients. It is our goal to be available to help those who need support right now when it's needed most.
To help protect the safety of our clients and the public, we will not be conducting in person sessions until we can be reasonably assured of our clients'safety. Further notice will be provided when this changes. Until then we will make arrangements to conduct sessions through video conferencing or telephone, as best suits your needs.
Please do not call the office directly, as no one is present to take calls. If you know your clinician's direct number, that would be the best way to reach them. If not, please TEXT your contact information to 203-942-9194 and it will be forwarded to the appropriate clinician.
If you are a new client, and have no preference for a specific clinician, text your info to the same number and you will be contacted.
Compassionate, respectful psychotherapy provides effective tools and strategies for recovery when life and relationships become emotionally painful. Personal distress due to depression, marital or family discord, anxiety, sexual addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders, or other concerns, warrant effective therapy which addresses underlying issues contributing to these symptoms.
New Directions offers clients a warm, personal style, high ethical standards, total confidentiality, flexibility, a non-judgmental stance, and respect for our clients' dignity and right to self-determination. We provide individual, couples & family therapy, addiction interaction disorder therapy, and marriage & divorce counseling. We employ the power of therapy to open new opportunities for growth, to increase self-understanding and self-respect, to heal emotional wounds - and to take your life in new directions.
Therapy is ultimately an investment in one's self. Your time, effort, emotional and monetary expense are valuable assets, which are not to be taken for granted. At New Directions, we respect the value and importance of these and work to get the most out of your efforts by helping you achieve a sense of greater self-development and connectedness.
